As an Idaho Falls wedding Photographer,I can’t get over this wedding at The Barn on 1st in Idaho Falls! I met these two at the bridal fair and instantly clicked. They met on an app, and decided to take a chance at love! When talking I could tell they were best friends and I knew I needed to shoot their wedding. So I had to do something and do it fast. What did I do? I got down on one knee and asked them if I could be their wedding photographer- ha!

Shelby and Stetson’s wedding was one of the only weddings in the spring of 2020 that wasn’t totally flipped upside down! The date changed by a week due to the governor’s order, but nonetheless Shelby was able to keep it all together! On top of planning a wedding she is also a grade-school teacher and like all the other teachers here in Idaho make her curriculum available at home at a moment’s notice. I seriously have no idea how she pulled that AND a wedding off flawlessly!

Trudi Day did Shelby’s makeup and hair. As always she is AMAZING! I love seeing Trudi at my weddings, and our brides always love her too. I will have to do a blog about her. She’s a wonderful and talented HMUA!

Although Stetson saw Shelby in her dress before the wedding, the emotions hit him full force once he saw his beautiful bride come through the doors. I think it made us all emotional.

Shelby’s brother was the officiant. They ceremony was the perfect balance of laughs and emotional tones.  I couldn’t get over how clean looking and beautiful this venue is! The Barn on 1st is like Joanna Gaines took a barn and made it a wedding venue! It’s so versatile and customizable to what you want or need. Atkin Arrangements did an amazing job!

If you know me you know that I LOVE pretzels and fancy sodas. So, this reception was 100% amazing! They had different dips with your choice of a salt or cinnamon sugar pretzel. Then they had Soda Tsunami there making some fabulous drinks!
