This wedding was one for the books and one of our favorites! Janel and Steve are AMAZING and we felt so honored to capture their special day at the Rosewood Reception Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Pocatello doesn’t have a large listing of indoor wedding venues, and this one is beautiful! Just wait until you see the staircase!

Steve and Janel dated way back in 2011 but parted ways. Thankfully, fate brought them back together in 2017! If you saw them together you couldn’t imagine them without each other. They go together like peanut butter and jelly!

How did you know they were “The One”?

Steven: she made me feel true caring and compassion deep inside of me. And I could see us growing old together, in our wheelchairs being truly happy together growing old.

Janel: he made me feel true love and caring like I have never felt before. He is so fun and quirky. And he is so great to my children, he treats them as his own and truly cars for them.

A day or so before the ceremony Kendra called me. She had just gotten off the phone with Janel and learned that Steve had an accident while making some wedding decorations and lost some fingers. I asked if he was okay, and she said,” If you know Steve, you know that he will be making jokes about it and still have a good time. That’s the kind of guy he is”!

Their wedding day was a warm and bright day- perfect for an outdoor ceremony! Kendra was right, Steve was still cracking jokes and keeping people on the edge of their seat!

Their ceremony had a beautiful segment with sand that symbolized the blending of their families into one! Stuff like this always gets me emotional! I just love, love!

After the ceremony Kendra found some amazing lighting to do family photos! Their first OFFICAL family photo!

Here is the staircase I was telling you about! Isn’t it stunning? Janel’s dress flowed effortlessly! I don’t know about you, but as a little girl, I always imagined walking down a staircase like that in a fancy dress feeling like a queen! Janel got to live that moment- pretty jealous haha.

Couples like Steve and Janel make our job the most rewarding and easy. They genuinely love each other. They are friends. It’s not hard to capture their love because it’s evident. We wish them nothing but the best in life, and hope to stay connected in the years to come!
