Hey there. I have probably talked to you a lot over the last 7 days, but I wanted to reach out to you again. I didn’t think that as an Idaho photographer that COVID-19 would effect my wedding season. Yet, here we are. I want you to know how sorry I am. Im sorry that all your hard work is suddenly being flipped upside down. Im sorry that what you envisioned for your wedding will be altered. This isn’t something anyone anticipated. I want you to know that I hear you. In this blog I want to show you some silver lining to this whirlwind of events.
I want to share with you is how much your wedding means to the rest of us. You know those stories of people getting married in the middle of a war, the Great Depression, after a hurricane, or in a time of turmoil? Those stories bring us some sense of hope. There is something about two souls choosing love over fear of the unknown that helps all of us.
You. You and your wedding is the light we need in our life. It’s a reminder that love is stronger than fear. Love can still exist when it feels like the world is caving in around you. It gives color to life when it seems dark. Overall, love trumps, and we need to be reminded of that.
Because of that, it will be a story that is cherished and loved for generations. It will be a constant reminder to you of what IS important. Instead of a big wedding you may be limited to just your immediate family. I understand this is hard, but I promise there is beauty in it. This is why people choose to elope! Receptions right now are being canceled, but remember you can always postpone a BIG and fabulous party/reception for later. Some of the most beautiful and emotional weddings of my life have been when the setting is extremely intimate. It may not look like you imagined or have everyone you anticipated there. However, it will be special. It will be unique. It will be your story. It will be a testament of your love and devotion.
I hope you know I am seriously your #1 cheerleader. I want you to know that I will do whatever I can physically do to make your photography dreams come true. Although there are a lot of restrictions and unknown timelines- IT WILL ALL WORK OUT. I promise you, it will all work out, because I will personally make sure it does. If that means that Kendra or myself puts in more time, effort, and resources we will do it. You are being forced to be flexible, and will be be right there with you!
PLEASE don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We want your wedding to be as perfect as it can be. We will be your advocate. We will do everything we can to make this alternative plan beautiful! We are here for YOU!
