Moving back to Pocatello has its perks. I know so many amazing locations for family sessions! I’m happy to be a Pocatello photographer again! This is where I was born and raised. I know that people think Pocatello is ghetto, but let me tell you, it has some of the prettiest locations.

This cute family rescheduled with me due to a wind storm (it was CRAZY!) and I’m glad they did because this session turned out AMAZING! It was a warm and overcast day allowing for beautiful rich tones and freedom to shoot without the worry of shadows.

One of my favorite things about family sessions with little ones is capturing them being LITTLE. We expect so much of little ones (I’m so guilty of this with my own daughter) but really, let’s capture the essence of who they are RIGHT NOW. If they are into sharks, find bugs fascinating, and want to run through the grass to find bunnies then I’m going to capture it! #LetThemBeLittle

Of course, we can’t forget about pictures of mom and dad!

I was telling them how crazy life was when I learned that they literally had a tree fall on their house and destroy it! Talk about scary! Just another reminder of how unexpected life is. I was grateful they took the time to come to me and let me document this special time in their life!
