Idaho Falls wedding photographers and photographers in SE Idaho will all tell you that LaBelle Lake wedding venue is one of a kind. I am so excited to share this colorful LaBelle Lake Wedding with all of you! I have to admit, I have put off writing this blog because I just don’t feel like I can ever do it justice! Allyson and George hired everyone on my preferred vendors list. Do you know what that means? It means it was all of the people I know and love coming together going above and beyond to make the day more than exceptional! So I am going to make this wedding into two blogs. In this blog I will cover the getting ready and the ceremony!
Getting ready photos is always a favorite of mine as an Idaho Falls Photographer. One of the reasons why is that it’s away for me to get to know everyone. I get to talk to the mother of the bride, the sisters, the friends, and I get to talk to my favorite HMUA duo . The wonderful and hilarious, Trudi and Courtney! It seems like you leave with a lot of inside jokes and stories.
Sometimes people wonder why Sean still comes with me to weddings. If you wonder that it’s probably because you don’t know he’s actually a phenomenal photographer. He also has a calm presence and just sit back and capture all the candid moments. Sometimes groomsmen tense up when a female photographer enters the room, but they don’t when Sean enters. Although he tells them he will delete any photos he doesn’t want his wife to see. Ha! Sean is the best!
A new trend of revealing the dress to the brides dad, brothers, bridesmaids, mothers, and soon to be spouse is seriously one of my favorite trends as an Idaho Falls Photographer. While getting Allyson ready we noticed something was wrong, the dress was 6 inches too long after she put on wedges she was not planing on wearing. YIKES! Thankfully her mom had a bunch of safety pins so I sprung into action and started pinning her dress up so she could walk and not trip. Am I a seamstress of any kind? 100% no. But was I impressed enough to toot my own horn on a blog? 100% yes!
Once we got the dress situation under control Allyson revealed the dress to her dad. You can tell they have a special relationship because they were both emotional before he even saw her! It was adorable and I was so honored to be there for such a beautiful moment. Next she would reveal the dress to her soon to be husband, George.
Allyson was overwhelmed, and to be honest so was everyone. The wind outside was knocking stuff over, her dress situation wasn’t helping, and we were running behind. But when I say George made it 110% better I mean it. When they embraced its like all the anxiety and frustration melted away from Allyson. At that moment I knew that he was her person. With him she felt safe, and she knew it would all be okay. And, not to spoil everything, but it was more than okay. This wedding was AMAZING!
Hold onto your hats, literally. This was one windy LaBelle Lake wedding, but it was BEAUTIFUL! First of all, Allyson walked herself down like a total bad A! I seriously got goosebumps as she made her way down to George.
Allyson and George hired our good friend Tenneson of Tenneson Stanley Films and we danced around each other during the ceremony. He is so delightful to work with. We communicate well during the ceremony. A lot of the time there can be contention with the photographer and videographer. However, I know that the video is just as important as the photography. We work hard so that our couples will have amazing photographs AND an amazing video!
During the colorful LaBelle Lake wedding ceremony Allyson and George did a painting together. It was so unique and beautiful. That will hang in their home forever and will be cherished! They had the most heart felt vows, and I’m pretty sure everyone cried at least a little.
When it’s a windy ceremony sometimes the audio can be choppy, especially during vows. The DJ, Chris from Wildfire DJ, was there and was able to work with the wind so that everyone could hear, and he nailed the music. I will be raving about Chris in both blogs, but I am going to save most of my gushing in the second blog when I talk about the reception, party, and rave that Chris put on. It was unreal how fun it was! How fun you may ask? Let’s just say we stayed an hour after we were contracted to party with the wedding party and family! Keep an eye our for part TWO!
