Over the years of living in Idaho and working in the wedding industry, I’ve met some incredible wedding vendors. I’m talking the cream of the crop, geniuses in their field, with the experience to back it up. I’m so blessed to be able to work with so many incredible people, and even more blessed to call them my friends. Lanae has had a love of baking for years, always looking to learn and grow her talents. What started as a hobby would later transform into an incredible business. Not only did Lanae grow up in the kitchen honing her passion, she later would go to school to better serve her future clients. After graduating college it was time with the help of her supportive and awesome husband, to open her dream business, Paisley Cakes. The love this girl has for baking is so immense. She even has a picture with Buddy from Cake Boss on her website!

One thing I love about Lanae is how deeply she cares about her clients and their vision for their day. Being a Blackfoot wedding vendor comes with its own set of challenges, like serving a large clientele area of SE Idaho and beyond, and the sometimes brutal weather, Paisley Cakes smiles and gets to work. Oftentimes, it can be overwhelming when clients present their Pinterest dreams. But Lanae willingly and excitedly welcomes any challenge. Award Winning Talent

Throughout the years I’ve worked with Lanae I’m consistently in awe of her talent, and incredible creative ability. Lanae has participated in the Eastern Idaho Sugar Art Cake Show at the Eastern Idaho State Fair for over 10 years. Throughout her years in competition she has placed multiple times, and continues to impress with her talent. Next, in January 2017, Lanae was invited to compete in a cake competition as part of RootsTech in Salt Lake City, Utah. Not only did she finish in the top 5 in the Graduation Category, she had the opportunity to meet Judge, and Cake Celebrity, Buddy Valastro. Later, in 2018 she won Best of Show, and Grad Champion in both fondant and buttercream cakes. It’s safe to say if there is a cake show her cakes have ribbons.

If that’s not enough to sell you on Paisley cakes for your big day, she has sweet treats in her shop everyday. I don’t like cake, but I cannot get enough of hers. What is my favorite? Lemon curd cake! Nevertheless Lanae with Paisley Cakes is someone we absolutely love and can’t wait to work with for years to come.
