As an Island Park Photographer I loved being able to shoot this The Vineyards at Mt Naomi Farms wedding ! From the colors, sentimental details, games, and choreographed first dance. This wedding brought me tears of joy multiple times!
Dorithy is from Lava Hot Springs. Rafael is from Tepic Mexico. So, where did they meet? Mount Shasta California. I know it sounds random, but Dorithy was going to high school there and Rafael was there with family. They met Dorithy’s senior year of high school!
What she loves about him,”I love that he always tries to keep a positive attitude and is usually always happy. He balances me out and is very caring and understanding. He has a lot of love for his family and will do whatever he can to help the people he cares about day or night.”
What he loves about her,”I love the way she can love, how intensely and selflessly she gives love to everyone around her.”
“He took me on the same hike (up lower city creek trail) that we went on together on our first date. At the end of the hike he had set up a whole picnic with Thai food (our favorite) and a little table to eat off of with pillows and everything. He had to take multiple trips up to the spot to set everything up and surprised me by showing up at my house to take me there (I thought he was in California where he lives). I thought my parents were going to pick me up to take me to lunch. He even borrowed my parents car so that when he pulled up at the front I would think it was them. We had a nice lunch looking out over Pocatello and then he asked me there. I had gotten his ring from the jeweler the day before and my best friend stashed it under a corner of the table at the picnic and txted me where it was so that I could also propose to him right after he proposed to me. He was very surprised and so was I haha. My sister, her boyfriend, my best friend, and my parents were all in on it.”
Can we all take a moment and appreciate the flower dudes?! It was AWESOME!
Just like a lot of the 2020-2021 couples, they eloped to the courthouse knowing they could have their celebration later in the year when it was safe and with less restrictions! Let me tell you that it didn’t change the feeling. He still cried when he saw her in her dress. Everyone was still there to celebrate them! If there is one thing we can learn from the pandemic, in regards to weddings, I hope it’s that eloping and waiting to celebrate isn’t bad or wrong!
Did you know there is a vineyard in Cache County, Utah? No? Me too! It is such a beautiful location! It’s one location that I don’t disagree with how its all laid out, and that’s not common! Due to the smoke we couldn’t see the mountains, but it does make it look like they were being married in the clouds! I loved the venues high and beautiful windows! It is such a wonderful and versatile space!
