One of my favorite things about being a Jackson Hole photographer, is getting to work with my brides later in life! Nicole is one of my past brides. We met at the bridal fair and we had an instant connection. Sometimes I just see someone and I know she is a Love and Story Studio bride. This mama is one of the most beautiful people you will ever meet inside and out! Because of this, I wanted to do something special for her! So, Nicole got her makeup done by the very talented Kellie Stolworthy and we took off for the blossoms at the BYUI gardens.

Finding out you are pregnant should be a joyous occasion! Unfortunately, Nicole found herself suddenly abandoned. To say we were all heartbroken and shocked is an understatement! I cried and cried wondering what I could do to help. I felt hopeless in helping the situation. However, I knew we could make the most of the experience from here on out. I reached out to some of her bridesmaids and we came up with this beautiful session!

Being pregnant is such a unique and beautiful experience in life. Growing a baby is HARD work, and our bodies do amazing things! It should be documented as much as possible!!!

You’re mourning the loss of what you thought your life was going to be. Let it go. Things don’t always work out how you planned; that’s not necessarily bad. Things have a way of working out anyway…

You see, I believe in tribes. I believe in tribes of people who uplift and support each other through life’s heartaches. Nicole was one of the first people to know that I was pregnant (after years of infertility) I was shooting her wedding and had to take an injection before the ceremony. Even on her special day, she took time to be ecstatic for me! She checked up on me. I always appreciated that about her. She is so selfless and genuine.

I want Nicole to know that we see her, we love her, and she CAN do this! She isn’t alone. Where there is an empty gap many will fill in that spot. Not only does she have her family but she has a tribe of people that love and support her. Lean on us. We got you AND baby! I for one can’t wait to snuggle that little man and watch Nicole be the best mama ever!
