Being a Pocatello photographer means that we are prepared for any kind of weather! Even a snowy spring wedding. Spring in Idaho means it could be hot, cold, sunny, rainy, snowy, hail, thunder, cloudy, humid, or dry. If you can think it, we have probably had that weather! Joy and Trevor anticipated a spring wedding day, but Pocatello surprised them with a snow storm the day before. So, we captured them, and the flowers, in the snow!

Snowy Spring Wedding Pocatello

The Pocatello temple has difficult lighting around it, but we are seasoned enough that nothing phases us. Lucky for us we had some overcast coverage at random time to give us some even lighting. Joy and Trevor are one of Sadie’s couples, but she got super sick the day before their wedding. Luckily I had the day off so I was able to cover Sadie and allow her to get better at home. Although it wasn’t their original plan, Joy and Trevor were troopers and let me cover their special day!

Wedding Day Pictures at Pocatello Temple

It was a busy day at the temple and we had three other weddings around the grounds. However, we all danced around each other and got to all the places we wanted to shoot. On the opposite side of where the the bride and groom exit at the Pocatello temple is the “bridal garden”. It’s not much now, but I imagine in the summer is will be lush and beautiful What is great about this area is that it gives you the ability to get the full temple in the picture. Even if it was a snowy spring Pocatello wedding we got great shots!

Rockland, Idaho Reception

After the wedding and sealing at the Pocatello temple Joy and Trevor had a beautiful and relaxed reception in Rockland, Idaho where Trevor is from. Also, Rockland is beautiful. I had no idea ! Now I want to go back and do a session there! A teenager made the cake! It was amazing. There were many cute and delicious treats at the reception. Everyone left with a happy tummy!
