My first title was a Pocatello Photographer and I am still in love with what Pocatello has to offer! These snowy Idaho engagements make my heart swoon. Megan and Ryan are getting married in April so we had to hurry and get their engagement photos done as soon as possible. The weather said it was going to be cloudy, but it was a lie, and it was a bright and sunny early afternoon! It was so bright we had to do the “close your eye and open them on three” thing and it helped a little!

The Couple

This cute and giggle couple met while attending school at Brigham Young University Idaho, and it didn’t take long for them find each other. He loved her laugh. She fell in love with his kind eyes and smile. You can tell that they feel so at ease with each other and that they are genuinely best friends!

The Locations

Pocatello has a huge selection of different Snowy Idaho engagements locations! From a charming downtown, open felids, mountain views, aspens and pines, Pocatello has what you are looking for. In this session we went to a couple locations. First we went to Edson Fichter, and then we went to Gibson Jack.

Edson Fichter: Snowy Idaho Engagements

In the Indian Hills area of south Pocatello you will find a local gem called Edson Fichter. It is a nature greenway that in enjoyed by people of all ages and a lot of dogs! There is a pond they stock with fish and you can expect to see the young and old fishing on the docks. It is busy during warmer weather as people take their nightly walks. It’s by far one of my favorite areas in Pocatello, and thats because of the beautiful water. There are also cute bridges and and pines that make for great photos during the winter months.

Gibson Jack: Snowy Idaho Engagements

Gibson Jack is beautiful in every season. Located at the very top of the road Gibson Jack off Bannock Hwy you will find the Gibson Jack trailhead. In the winter it’s a location you can typically access and still look like you’re in the mountains. In the spring its covered with sunflowers and in the summer it has stunning sunsets!
