As a Jackson Hole Photographer I was so excited to photograph this Smoky Jackson Hole Couple Portraits. Alyssa and Brady are some of my favorite people. They also have horses so I had this idea of bringing them along to get some images with a real “Jackson Hole” or “Wild West” feel to them! There are only a couple areas inside Grand Teton National Park you can take horses and it was fun to get some photos of that.

I have to say that the sun was insane! The forecast was for a mostly cloudy sky but as you can see that was a total lie. Welcome to Wyoming! We took the horses down the trail for 1/4 of a mile until we saw the signs saying the rest of the trail was closed to horses for maintenance. Taggart Lake Trailhead is open all year round so it is a staple of locations when getting photos em along to get some images with a real “Jackson Hole” or “Wild West” feel to them! There are only a couple areas inside Grand Teton National Park. Where were we going to go next for these Smoky Jackson Hole Couple Portraits? Schwabacher Landing of course.

Schwabacher Landing Smoky Jackson Hole Couple Portraits

As always, Schwabacher Landing is a staple location for any Jackson Hole session. Remember how I said it was crazy sunny and smoky? Yea, it was crazy! I even told them. These images are going to be more artsy than my typical stuff. Smoke does some really weird and awesome things to images. Check out the sun rays that come down around the peak. Its so cool!

Adding Pups

We got photos of Alyssa and Brady with their horses, but we didn’t get photos of them with the pups yet! We brought them in at the very end and it made for the perfect ending. The sun was setting, the smoke was sexy, colors were vibrant, and the family in front of the camera is just the best people you can rub shoulders with.
