As an Island Park wedding photographer, I love couples like Madison and Alec. They appreciate the beauty that Idaho offers, and celebrates it fully! These two are truly best friends and love spending time outdoors whether that’s fishing, hiking or even exploring a new spot, they’re always together and outside. These are my people! When they told me they were having an Eagle Ridge Ranch wedding, I was thrilled!

Madison and Alec met on Tinder when Madison and her roommates all decided to make accounts together. They went fishing at a cute creek that was half way between Jackson (where Alec was staying for the summer) and Rexburg (where Madison was going to school). The two had a great time and talked for hours, but stayed friends for quite sometime.

However, the timing for Madison and Alec to date was never really right, but four years later everything fell into place, and they were inseparable. Madison says, “things happened so easily with each other, and we were sure pretty early on that we were meant to be together!”

The Jackson Hole Proposal

Madison and Alec dated for 9 months before Alec popped the question. Madison tells the story the best, “We went a floated a section of river that was one of the first places that we hung out together in Jackson, and has a beautiful view of the Tetons the whole time!”

“We parked for lunch and after lunch he starts fumbling with his phone trying to get it set up to record and I ask what he was doing and he just said that that is where he wanted his phone to be for the next while. So at that point I had a pretty good idea as to what was going on.”

“Next, he started talking about if I could only fish one fly for the rest of my life what would it be, so I start telling him what it would be. He then gets down on one knee opens a fly box that has my ring it and asked if I would pick that one! It was such a fun, beautiful day!”

Eagle Ridge Ranch Rustic Chic Wedding

Just like these cuties, their Eagle Ridge Ranch wedding was one for the books. Throughout their day, the love you could feel was so special. Madison and Alec were surrounded by close family and friends in their intimate wedding ceremony. Moments like this are something that really makes an event special. After saying, “I do” the couple was able to celebrate with both sides of their families that were truly elated.

The support felt at their Eagle Ridge Ranch wedding was so strong. I’m sure made Madison and Alec that much more confident in their decision together. Later, at the reception, wedding guests and the happy couple enjoyed Lucy’s Pizza and Wings. It was delicious! I love when couple’s pick yummy comfort food like pizza and wings, it shows so much personality!

Throughout our bridal portraits with the happy couple, it was so fun watching them interact together. Alec absolutely adores Madison and couldn’t keep his eyes off of her! She was so giddy and giggly around them, they are just adorable together. Nevertheless, these two are genuinely best friends and so perfect together.

They couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue for their big day, it provided a beautiful and intimate location for the ceremony. You’re truly getting married in the middle of the woods surrounded by nothing but incredible nature views. I am still so obsessed with these two and am so happy for them!
