Throughout my time in Idaho, I’ve met some incredible people, and Kaden and Mianna are no exception. When they asked me to shoot their romantic Idaho Falls wedding, I was totally in! Kaden and Mianna met at the LDS institute where they served on a committee together. Kaden worked under the direction of Mianna and asked her out the first day they talked. Talk about courageous! They continued to date for a couple of years before becoming engaged. You can tell too. They are truly best friends and look at each other with an admiration that cannot be put into words.

Mianna is strikingly beautiful! A modern-day Snow White if you will! Their romantic Idaho Falls wedding day was filled with moments of her embracing her family, friends, and laughing. She is totally a Love and Story Studio bride! Kaden has extremely kind eyes. During the wedding day you find him laughing, but mostly admiring his bride.

No wedding is without a little drama, and this romantic Idaho Falls wedding day was no exception. Later, their cake tipped over. No joke! However, they had an extremely talented group to help them. I literally could not find anything wrong with the cake. It looked beautiful. Then I saw the bowl of cake and realized they had to totally shave down the cake and had to restart. After they cut all the cake up you could see where they filled some of the cake with frosting, rice crispies, and cardboard. Hey, whatever works! Nevertheless, it looked beautiful, and tasted amazing!  

After their romantic Idaho Falls wedding ceremony, their reception was at an LDS building in Pocatello! Kim Hardy from Unforgettable Events did a great job decorating it! One of my favorite parts of it all was before the daddy and daughter dance Mianna’s father (who is very talented) sang to her. He sang the song Unforgettable by Nat King Cole and changed up some of the wording to make it personal. I shed a couple….er…a lot of tears at that reception. Have you ever just felt so much love in a small space you couldn’t help but get emotional? That was this reception!

Later, during the couple’s first dance Kaden started to get emotional. I’m pretty sure everyone in the room let out a long, ” Awwwwwwwwe”. They giggled, the cried, they held each other. Throughout their dance the love you could feel was so real.

Like I mentioned before the cake had to be reconstructed. Doesn’t it look great?

Can you see the cardboard supporting the cake? They were geniuses!  The cake tasted amazing. No complaints here! Being able to take Kaden and Mianna’s photos must have been inspired. Why? Mianna really wanted one of us to photograph her wedding, but we were both booked. She decided then to do engagements with us and find someone else for her wedding day.

As the time got closer, I found out the wedding I had booked was canceled. I messaged Mianna thinking she probably already got a photographer but thought it was worth a try. Low and behold, she didn’t have a photographer yet. I call that crazy. Some may call it knowing what you like and not settling. Ha! Luckily everything worked out for all of us! I always feel so blessed to be apart of something so special!
