Jackson Hole Photographer at LaBelle Lake is a happy photographer. I don’t even know how to begin this blog. Hands down, this LaBelle Lake Wedding knocked my socks off. This is hands down the craziest, fun, and most memorable wedding of my entire career.

Pre-Ceremony

Ashtyn and Rhett didn’t spare any little details with their wedding and it showed! When I entered the lodge it was buzzing with family and friends! Bridesmaids where squeeing into their spanx and the groomsmen were getting their mullets styled by Kh Hair. Ashtyn already looked amazing. Her sister got her a beautiful watercolor of Ashtyns late grandma and her. It was so tender as the picture sat on the table as Ashtyn got ready.

The Prank

Ashtyn’s dad is a big ole teddy bear. When he saw his oldest daughter, Karli, in her wedding dress he turned to butter. Knowing this, Ashtyn decided to play a prank on him! She got her dad’s best friend to dress up in a wedding dress they found at DI. They would tell the dad that Ashtyn was revealing her dress to him, but SURPRISE it would be his friend.

IT WAS SO FUNNY! I will admit, I felt awful inside. You could see how emotional dad was just preparing to turn around, thinking it would be his little girl. I can’t even imagine the rand of emotions he felt in 10 second. Did I feel bad? Yes. Was it worth is? Yes!

After dad got a drink and time to calm down we prepared him for the REAL dress reveal. It was such a beautiful and tender moment. Its moments like this I feel like I have the best job in the world!

The Ceremony

Rhett came in on his dirt bike, and Ashtyn lived every little girl’s dream coming in on a horse with her dress draped perfectly. Their ceremony was beautiful and contained some of the most heartfelt vows I have ever heard. Both Ashtyn and Rhett took us through their courtship, dating, and life together. There were tears, but there were a lot of laughs too. During the ceremony, a bald eagle soared past us scoping the water for fish. La Belle is such a cool venue! What other venue offers anything like that? Little did I know there would be MANY surprises throughout the night!

Eat Cake

There was no cutting of the cake. There was a grabbing and throwing of the cake! We were all taken back by it, and then we all laughed! Both of them were COVERED in cake! Thanks to Ashtyn’s mom for cleaning them up for photos!

The Dance Floor

We all knew the daddy-daughter dance would be emotional, but it had almost everyone feeling all the feels! The mother-son dance was incredibly beautiful too! After her dance with Rhett, Ashtyn danced with her big brother, Justin. Let me tell you something about Justin, he doesn’t like to smile for me (unless it’s a picture for his girlfriend), but he is a devoted and loving brother. His love for his sisters is so big it’s almost tangible! Although I was prepared for all the emotions. Nothing could have prepared me for the incredible amount of love you could feel.

The Garter

Never, in my 10 years of experience have I EVER laughed so hard during the garter belt segment. I knew something was up when Rhett brought out all his tools. Everyone was laughing when he started throwing bolts and using his drill under her dress. Talk about putting your own spin on something!

It was a beautiful wedding and LaBelle Lake is a beautiful venue! It’s not just a venue, it’s an experience! We will be writing a special blog about LaBelle Lake soon! Special thanks to Ashtyn, Rhett, and their family and friends! Thank you for letting us be part of something so special!
