Once you’ve decided to elope, things should get easier, right? As your Jackson Hole elopement photographer, I’m here to help make that happen. Planning an elopement can be as simple or extravagant as you want. After all, it is your big day! Everyone has ideas on who needs to be at an elopement and what vendors you’ll need. But as your Jackson Hole photographer, I’m breaking down the absolute necessary people for your event, and who you may be able to pass on. My goal is to make your elopement everything you dreamed it would be. Even if that includes passing on some Jackson Hole elopement vendors.
If you want to make things legit and legal, consider an officiant top of your list of must-haves. While elopement laws and legalities are slightly different, you’ll need someone that is ordained to make it official. Although, Sadie and I can definitely be your witnesses at your Jackson Hole wedding. We’re super good at that!
More often than not, past brides have said, “if you’re going to invest in anything for your elopement, make sure it’s in your photos!” After the sun sets, and your leaving Jackson Hole, you get to take very few things with you. Your wedding photos should be one of those things leaving with you. As Jackson Hole photographers we take the responsibility of capturing these moments so personally. We understand the magnitude of these life altering moments.
Don’t skimp on Jackson Hole photographers, and invest in one that will treat your elopement as their own. Also, if you’re traveling into Jackson Hole for your elopement, check out our list of top Jackson Hole elopement vendors. We’ve taken the time to curate a list of vendors that will love on you, and treat you like family. You deserve to have the elopement of your dreams.
Next, on our list of Jackson Hole elopement vendors, a videographer. As photographers we will advocate for photo and video on your wedding day until our faces turn blue. These are moments you won’t get back. Did you know we have a videographer in house on our team? Tennison is incredible at capturing love stories in the most authentic and intimate way possible.
Imagine years from now, being able to look back on your wedding photos and sitting down with your babies to watch their parents promise their forevers to each other. Those moments are priceless.
You may be considering an elopement planner for your Jackson Hole elopement. A planner will definitely make things seamless and eliminate unnecessary stress from your plate. However, if your budget doesn’t allow for an elopement planner, it’s not the end of the world. If you didn’t know, when you book a wedding with us, you unlock all the secrets and resources we have. We’re here to make your day as stress-free as we can. Forgot your flowers? I’ll go grab them. Can’t find your veil? I’ll call a friend. We’ve got you covered.
Throughout my time as a Jackson Hole photographer, I’ve seen couples opt for hair and makeup artists and some skip it entirely. This is another one that is totally your call! If your budget allows for it and you want the royal treatment, book it!
One thing I love about flowers I feel like they bring the whole day together. There’s something about a simple flower bouquet that makes things feel more wedding and real. If you’re trying to keep cost low or things easy, consider stopping by a wholesale club, (think Sam’s Club or Costco). Oftentimes places like these have beautiful flowers for great prices, and we can put something beautiful together.
Another thing on your list could be elopement attire. The beautiful thing about a Jackson Hole elopement or any elopement for that matter, it’s totally your call. Don’t feel like wearing the traditional white dress? Don’t! There are so many stores that sell beautiful elopement outfits for great prices. A few of our favorites are, Lulu’s, Azazie, and Birdie Grey.
Lastly on the list of vendors you’ll want to hire, accommodations. If you’re flying into Jackson specifically for your elopement, you’ll definitely want to look into hotels or Airbnbs. My list of favorites are here, with other must visit spots. Make your Jackson Hole elopement a honeymoon and wedding all in one, and enjoy yourself!
This next portion are the vendors you could hire for your elopement. Are they necessary? Definitely not, however, would these Jackson Hole elopement vendors be nice to have on your side? Of course!
When I think of stationery I think of all things wedding, invitations, save the dates, signage, etc. However the beauty of an elopement? A lot of those aren’t necessarily relevant. Most of the time the people that are attending are aware and don’t need a formal invite. It’s usually just close friends or family. Including stationery for your elopement is totally up to you, like most of the vendors included here. Your wedding, your vision, your day!
Oftentimes Jackson Hole elopement vendors for designing and decor are unnecessary. You won’t be at a venue per say, but outdoors in a National Park or other beautiful adventure location. Although you could hire someone to set up a reception table, or a few small decor options, this is another vendor that could be omitted on your day.
As seen above, rentals may not be necessary for your Jackson Hole elopement. Oftentimes rentals are used for tables, chairs, etc. During an elopement, you won’t need those things. Consider this, money saved!
Next, let’s discuss wedding cakes. While I’ve had couples get a little cake to add a little bit of tradition back to their day, it isn’t the end of the world if you choose not to. If you decide to get a cake, head to a local grocery store and look for a simple white cake! If you’re looking for something more elaborate for your wedding cake, check out my list of favorite Jackson Hole elopement vendors here.
One of the best parts about eloping is the amount of money you get to save on food! While I still suggest doing an after elopement dinner, or something small, this is a huge saving point. I’ve had couples get small charcuterie boards for after their elopement too!
First, when choosing to elope in Jackson Hole, you’re probably drawn to the beautiful peaks of Grand Teton National Park. Luckily for you, if that’s your vision, you won’t need a venue! We’ll work on getting permits for inside the park, and you can get married there.
Choosing to elope? No DJ necessary! Most likely you won’t have a reception or after party so you won’t need a DJ. If you want to have a little first dance after the ceremony, we can bring speakers and use your phone!
Just as mentioned above, no after party or dinner reception, no caterers needed! If you’re looking to add some element of catering look into a small charcuterie board for the two of you to share after you’re married! We recommend, The Hole Board.
When you arrive in Jackson Hole just rent a car! Then you’re able to go wherever, whenever! No need for any kind of party bus or limo for the two of you. Unless you want to ride in style, then go for it!
Consider this money saved! Wedding favors oftentimes are left behind anyway, without a huge wedding you won’t even need wedding favors.
Nevertheless whatever your Jackson Hole elopement looks like, big or small, this list should give you a good idea of where to start. If you’re looking for elopement inspiration, check out this Jenny Lake elopement!
