As an Island Park photographer I love winter! This Island Park Winter Engagement session give me all the feels. Lauren and Jacob first met in junior high. I have known and photographed Laurens family for years. I asked Lauren model for me through her high school years. You may recognize her. During that time I thought she hadn’t quite found Mr. right. I didn’t know that Lauren and Jacob knew each other. I took Jacob’s family photos before he left on his mission. Two years later I see that sweet boy dating Lauren! Jacob moved away in high school and they were able to reconnect!

Engagement Session FUN

There is something so magical about driving up through Ashton and Island Park after a fresh snow storm. The snow covered pines and the long roadways are one of my favorite sights to see. You see numerous snowmobiles and lots of ice fishing huts. You always see kids being pulled on sleds around their cabins. If you’re lucky you will get to see some wildlife and maybe catch the moose wading in the river. Island Park Winter Engagement session and weddings are just unique and beautiful!

Locations for Island Park Winter Engagement Session

Why come to Island Park in the winter? Well it’s usually one reason. Snow! If you want those beautiful trails lined with snowy pines I know the roads to take and the roads you can’t get to in the car. There are lots of beautiful spots you could snowmobile into for a beautiful backdrop such as Big Springs. However, if you don’t have access to snowmobiles the best way is to get as close as you can to the main trails that will be packed down and take a little walk. Just remember to bring some boots and hand warmers!
