Whitney and Chad’s intimate Island Park cabin wedding was an Idaho wedding photographer’s dream. Their day was romantic, and surrounded by family loving them up all day. It was filled with sentimental moments for both Whitney and Chad alike as they came together as one beautiful, blended family. The couple was able to get married in Whitney’s parents’ cabin. It was such a perfect location for Whitney and Chad to take this next step together. Throughout their Island Park wedding day were moments of pure joy, laughter, and memories made to last a lifetime!

Whitney and Chad’s Love Story

The couple had history dating in the past, but the timing didn’t seem to work out, and they split up. Later, Whitney and Chad reconnected when Chad needed a haircut and help with his beard. Whitney being an accomplished and incredibly talented hair stylist was the perfect woman for the job. After Whitney saved him from a hair emergency, they started hanging out again. Once the fates brought them back together, everything fell into place. They fell in love and the rest is history!

Getting Ready for an Island Park Cabin Wedding Day

Whitney has two beautiful daughters, and they got ready with mom on her big day! They are seriously best friends, and it was the sweetest thing to see them together, celebrating their mom. Whitney found her mom’s dress at the cabin, and hung it up alongside her own to surprise her mom. Her mom walked in the room and saw the dresses together and became incredibly emotional, it was such a special moment.

Later, we were able to stage Whitney and Chad so they couldn’t see one another, but could share gifts and cards for one another. Special moments like this are what makes a wedding more than just any other wedding, moments that the couple craft to create memories are everything. Whitney had a first look with her dad before walking down the aisle, another great moment. Her daughters wanted to have their own grand dress reveal with Chad, and it was the sweetest moment ever, he was so emotional seeing them in their dresses. It was perfect.

It’s All in the Details

Whitney’s necklace in the cool clamshell case was her great grandma’s necklace, I love when bride’s include family heirlooms on their big day. It’s a great way to bring in family history, while celebrating the future. The bride also brought along her weiner dog sidekick, Sissy! She was one of the stars of the show, and we were all obsessed.

Although it poured rain throughout the entire ceremony it was still a beautiful and intimate Island Park cabin wedding. Most brides would have been overwhelmed with the weather, but Whitney embraced it, rain on your wedding day is good luck after all!

Nevertheless their beautiful rainy day wedding was a fairy tale romance. It was filled with so much emotion, fun, dancing and incredible food. Congratulations to the happy couple and their new family!!
