It was cold, but it was beautiful the morning of this winter Idaho Falls wedding! Luckily Kyle and Macee had their reception at The Arbor so we could all warm up!

Kyle and Macee met when a new magnet school was opened that enrolled students from all of the local HS. Although they liked each other then they never went on a date! Fast forward a couple years and they met while at Lava Hot Springs (they didn’t go there together). What a happy coincidence! They reconnected and although Kyle was going to school at USU he would come down on the weekends. And thus we see the beginning of this beautiful relationship!

Dating was going to take a big turn when Macee left the USA to go teach English in Thailand! The time difference was really difficult for them to connect and they hardly talked. Kyle scored a night job at a hotel where he could work and text her, but it was still really difficult. They kept talking about places they would go when she got back and plans for the future. Macee was the most genuine and kind person he had ever met. He thought she was gorgeous in high school and he didn’t know how but she was even more beautiful than ever now. He missed her cute and contagious laugh. There was a part of him that felt missing. It was then when Kyle realized he wanted that forever. He wanted to marry that girl!

Macee knew he was the one during the first few weeks of her stay in Thailand. It was really difficult time. When they were FaceTiming she realized how her bad days seemed like they didn’t exist when talking to him. She felt happy and at peace. With Kyle everything was perfect. This was the person she wanted to spend forever with!

So, what is a cute couple like this going to do? Simple. Kyle is going to go pick her up from Thailand! Im going to quote Macee here because its so cute! “We had been traveling in Thailand for about a week, and we were in a city called Krabi that runs along the beach. Since it was our last night before we flew to Japan, we wanted to get a little fancy to “go to dinner.” So we got ready and started walking to dinner. My mom and my sister were also there with us, and they wanted to go watch the sunset at the beach. So we decided to take a detour and walk along the beach at sunset. Kyle grabbed my hand asked if we could go for a walk a little further down the beach. (That’s when I figured out what he was going to be doing lol)
We walked down a little further and he said some really nice things to me, and got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. I said “YES” and we hugged and kissed while my mom and sister were taking pictures of us. It felt like a proposal that came from a movie! “

Capturing an engagement like that is a dream of every photographer I know! Okay, back to the wedding! This power couple got married in the Idaho Falls Temple and then had their reception in The Arbor. Macee grew up around flowers and LOVES Christmas greens. She always wanted a Christmas wedding! The Arbor was the PERFECT venue to for her colors and vibe. The venue was packed with fresh greens and flowers. IT SMELLED AMAZING!

Want to know what else is amazing? Having PIZZA and ICE CREAM at the reception. Seriously, can this couple get any cooler?

The ending to their reception was so fun and cute! The guests helped out the photos by using their cell phones to light up the area (thanks guys!). And thus began the start of eternity for these two! We feel incredibly grateful that we were given that opportunity to capture this time for this couple. Every wedding is a honor. We are SO lucky to do what we do!!!
