Throughout my time as a Jackson Hole wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of incredible weddings. I love a couple that can plan a unique and fun wedding experience, especially in the Grand Tetons. Not only are the views breathtaking, but your guests will love a destination wedding that allows for fun activities and adventures after! Let’s get started planning your Grand Teton wedding.
First, you have to choose a location within Grand Teton National Park to say, “I do!” There are tons of beautiful locations for your Grand Teton wedding. I have a blog that details all those locations, here! If you are having a hard time finding a spot that fits your vision for your day, let me help! No matter where your wedding takes place, those peaks will be visible and beautiful! I am obsessed with a Grand Teton wedding.
Next, let’s talk about permits needed for certain ceremony location. If you have more than 12 people or you want a ceremony site that is distinguished by the National Park service then you have seven options.
Schwabacher Landing – Group size limit of 25 people
Mormon Row (North or South) – Group size limit of 40 people (North) or 25 people (South)
Mountain View Turnout – Group size limit of 25 people
Glacier View Turnout – Group size limit of 25 people
Snake River Overlook – Group size limit of 25 people
Colter Bay Swim Beach – Group size limit of 40 people
The Wedding Tree – Scheduled though Friends of the Bridger -Teton website
Keep in mind, without a permit for one of these locations, you cannot have more than 12 people at your ceremony. Grand Teton National Park are really strict about the amount of people in your party. If you’re worried about meeting these requirements – reach out to me, and I can help find the perfect spot!
Throughout your time in Grand Teton National Park for your wedding, be sure to plan some activities for your wedding weekend. Whether that is hiking the park, kayaking in the beautiful water, or even just a picnic in the park. There are so many incredible things you can do to make your wedding more than a day, it’s an event. Also, consider planning your honeymoon in Jackson Hole. There are so many fun and unique things to do here. In this blog, I have Jackson Hole Airbnb’s to make your planning that much easier.
Next, it’s time to talk about vendors. If you want your Grand Teton wedding to run smoothly, hire local vendors! Local vendors are more than familiar with the area, and will be able to plan for any scenario. As a Jackson Hole wedding photographer, I know some of the best vendors to work with and have a curated list for you to choose from. On my website, I have a Jackson Hole wedding planning page to help make these decisions easier! Another perk of hiring local is a lot of local vendors have worked together and will help make your wedding day stress-free.
I hope these tips make planning your Grand Teton wedding easier and more enjoyable! Make sure you book your vendors, and location early to make sure your wedding day dreams come true. Looking for more help in wedding planning? Let’s chat!
