I love a good splash of color, and as a Jackson Hole wedding photographer I have seen some timeless ways to add color to your wedding day! No matter the theme, color palette, or wedding venue. I know that you can add in a pop of color in a classy and fun way. Here are my top 5 ways to add color your your wedding!
Everyone’s favorite way to add a pop of color in a wedding is through florals. And it’s a no brainer why! You can add flowers basically anywhere. On your wedding arch, the aisle chairs at your ceremony, your reception table, and basically any other surface in your wedding venue!
Florals can add color, brighten up your venue and bring more life and excitement to the space. However, you can also add color to your wedding day by what holds your wedding florals. If your florals are more neutral, or your just love the look of strictly greenery. Then consider choosing pots, planters and vases that add more color to your wedding venue.
Your bridesmaids are an excellent way to add a bit more color to your wedding. Of course you can choose to incorporate your wedding colors into your bridesmaids dresses. This is a classic way to bring together the wedding party and the overall wedding theme.
These days you can get your hands on a suit in almost any color! Having your groom’s suit as a statement piece in your wedding is a fun and unique way to add a splash of color. If you aren’t able to find your dream suit, then look for a tailor or company that makes custom suits. From the lining to the buttons, everything can be customized if you find the right tailor!
If a colored suit feels too bold for your wedding, then consider a vest for a fun pop of color. This adds so much personality to the groom’s look, while incorporating color. You can also incorporate color in your groom’s tie, socks, cufflinks, and pocket square!
You wedding table settings and decor give you so many opportunities to add color to your wedding! Of course you can place low floral arrangements as a centerpiece. This is classic and a fan favorite! However, you can also get create with custom table numbers, place cards ad decor.
In addition, consider the table linens and napkins as a way to tie in color to the overall table setting. And if you are feeling bold, remember you can always have colored plates and glassware for an extra pop!
Flatlays are a way to capture the overall essence of your wedding in one picture! It includes all the fun little details, some florals and even wedding invitations. When I capture your wedding flatlay I will want to incorporate your wedding colors in any way I can! Whether that is with different colored ribbons or a colored background.
When you add color to your wedding day remember that sometimes less is more. Coordinate with your wedding planner to be sure everything is cohesive. I can’t wait to see how you add that pop of color! Let’s connect and talk all things wedding and what element you are most excited to have captured!
