When I first started my photography business I couldn’t wait to get out of Pocatello so I could shoot at better locations. I moved to Rexburg, and the locations were really limited, and you couldn’t see mountains. I had to drive at least an hour to get someplace with the views I wanted. Then we moved to Ammon. Apparently we lived above one of the hottest locations to shoot at now, but did I use all the years we lived there? No! I was traveling to Pocatello weekly to do sessions there!

There are endless amazing family photography locations in Pocatello! I have even shot in an ally behind someones house and it was one of my favorite sessions!

The Blair family met me in South Pocatello to explore the Nordic Center. The mama has been one of my friends for over a DECADE. Wow, that made me feel rather old! I love watching my friends become mamas and capturing it. Although they are first time parents, they looked like seasoned parents, when they didn’t get the baby dressed until the arrived at the location. Pro tip! Babies are prone to blowouts and spitting up all over their cloths. So, dress them right before the session!

Mountains, rivers, ponds, aspen groves, pines, valley views, orchards, sunflowers galore, and so much more! When looking for the perfect Pocatello location for your photography needs all you need to do is look around. We are blessed with so many amazing nature areas, parks, and trails.
