I love that I am a Jackson Hole Photographer, but I also love being a Mazatlán Photographer! When Sean and I decided we were going to go on a cruise I wanted to specifically find a port that was safe and had amazing old and bright buildings. When I saw pictures of Mazatlan I knew I wanted to do a Historic Mazatlán Couples Session there!

Exploring the location: Historic Mazatlán

The first thing I did when we ported was explored as much as we could before meeting up with our clients. We had about 2 hours. So we got off and were were met with everyone trying to sell us stuff. Then a man in a blue shirt approached us, and it was evident he was from the south (USA) with his accent. He and other volunteers (from the USA and Canada) are there to help you explore the city safely and gave us the best tips and tricks. When I explained to them what I wanted to photography they gave me a map and told me where to start. Also I’t important to note that they take the safety of those visiting seriously. There were police on every single corner. A LOT of people retire or work remotely in Mazatlán, and I can see why!

Colors : Historic Mazatlán Couples Session

You know me. You know our brand. We LOVE color and we love vibrant colors! Historic Mazatlán just made my heart happy! Apparently if anyone wants to paint your house you can only paint it the original color. They have been working hard to restore and maintain the rich colorful heritage of Historic Mazatlán. While we were directed to some special colorful old houses, I found myself in love with random streets. There was a perfect balance of restored homes and raw natural weathering.
