I don’t even know where to start about this bridal wedding photography session in snowy downtown Idaho Falls! First I absolutely love the colors that Abby chose! The pallet is called winter sunset. I don’t think we have ever had a winter wedding with these bright and vibrant colors! Staker Floral did the flowers and they where AMAZING! They totally brightened up the gloomy winter vibe!
Abby’s dress (droll) came from Harlow Brides in SLC! We LOVED how it had texture and draped perfectly. Also, that veil? Wowza. To top it all off she met up with Trudi Day to get her hair and makeup done. She looked PERFECT!
Carter wasn’t left out in just a staple color of suit! All of these detail were SO fun! They are came together like a Pinterest board! Okay, enough with all this. Onto some of the good stuff!
Although they both went to school at USU (GO AGGIES!!!) they met on the other side of the country where they were both interns at Capitol Hill! How crazy is that?!? The heavens totally aligned to bring these two souls together. I asked Abby to share how Carter purposed. She wrote it so beautifully Im not even going to try to tell it myself.
“I was living in Idaho Falls (IF) and he was living in Logan. We saw each other on the weekends and it was my turn to drive down. I like to know everything that is going on and I felt like he was taking forever to propose. I started dissecting everything he did and said so when he told me to remember to pack something nice for our date, I was sure he’d propose. But I ended up leaving IF late and he wasn’t even worried about it so then I was sure he wasn’t going to do it. The whole way down I prayed not to be mad at him because he wasn’t proposing lol. I got there and he was so chill and he said he’d pushed back our restaurant reservation so we could go for a drive to kill time. In the car, I literally told him all the reasons I thought he’d propose and then I told him why I knew now that he wasn’t going to and he said he was sorry and that it would happen eventually. He didn’t even have a ring yet. Then we pulled up to this grassy area that overlooked the valley and the sunset and it was so pretty and he grabbed a blanket out of the car and we sat and talked. I had no clue. Then he started saying really cute things about why he loves me and I still didn’t catch on. Apparently he saw his friend taking photos and told me to look at the sunset instead of him and I got upset that he wouldn’t let me look at him lol poor guy. I still had no clue. He kept saying nice things and eventually told me he had a ring for me and asked me to stand up, so I did and he PROPOSED! It was beautiful and it was so us. “
Isn’t that ADORABLE?!
LOOK AT HER RING! Olive Avenue Jewelry did such a great job with the design!
Okay, that’s it for now. Stay tuned for their wedding day blog!!!
