As Jackson Hole wedding photographers, I’ve noticed that more and more couples are coming to the area for elopements. The idea of eloping in Jackson Hole can be a game changer for your wedding planning. The idea of adventure and doing something so romantic has become incredibly popular. Every bride and groom have different reasons for eloping, but there are 5 reasons you should elope in Jackson Hole.
There is more than just the wedding to think about when you’re getting married. Part of marriage is buying your first home together, enjoying each other’s interests, and possibly starting a family together. If you consider eloping in Jackson Hole, you can save a lot of money that would have been spent on the wedding. This money can go towards that honeymoon you two have always dreamed of. You could take him on that fly fishing trip he’s always wanted to go on. You could put that money towards a few months of rent. It’s a great way to start your next chapter together on the right foot.
As a Jackson Hole wedding photographer, I cannot tell you how often brides have told me that they were feeling the pressure while wedding planning. When you have these expectations of yourself and the pressure of making things perfect for everyone else, it can feel overwhelming. When you elope in Jackson Hole, or anywhere for that matter, you have less to think about. You don’t have to book a huge wedding venue that only has small availability. It is such a low stress environment! You don’t have to worry about very many people because you can invite just a small group of your closest family members. There is a lot less expectation of perfection when you lower the guest list, and plan a much more intimate event.
Going back to the idea that this is more than just a wedding, this is the start of your marriage! A lot of brides and grooms get lost in the wedding planning. It is so much more than that. Weddings should be solely about celebrating your love. You can make it easier to focus on your marriage rather than material items when you elope in Jackson Hole.
This one is a real kicker! When you factor in how much waste you’re cutting down by not buying tons of disposable decorations or plates and utensils, that already helps the environment. You’re not having a ton of people and vendors driving their individual cars out to a wedding venue. Also not having a ton of people stay in hotels that have a ton of waste.
Just by reading this article, I know you’re already contemplating doing an elopement. There is no better place to elope than Jackson Hole. It’s a gorgeous and quiet town with so much to explore. I bet your future spouse has been thinking about eloping too. It’s so much fun to be spontaneous and is it worth all that wait just for one day?
