Throughout my time as a Jackson Hole elopement photographer, I’ve been to my fair share of weddings. It’s always the most beautiful day filled with love and excitement for the future. The couple is surrounded by their closest loved ones and focus on what eloping is truly about. However that day doesn’t come without some late night planning and research. I’m here to share my top 5 mistakes you want to avoid at your Jackson Hole elopement.
There is nothing worse than having any sort of negative energy around you on your wedding day. Over the years elopements have become a more popular option, and oftentimes more widely accepted. However, if you have family or friends who aren’t seeing eye-to-eye on your Jackson Hole elopement, perhaps celebrate with them on a different day. My goal as your Jackson Hole elopement photographer is to allow you to create memories that will last a lifetime and have beautiful photos to look back on forever. We don’t want those memories to circle around negative energy, only happiness!
While I know this isn’t very exciting to talk about, it’s super important! I don’t want you to have a last minute legal snafoo happen and have no one to help correct it. Make sure you look into Wyoming wedding laws and regulations prior to your arrival. As a resident Jackson Hole elopement photographer I’m here to help make this portion easier, however, just be prepared! If you decide to keep your elopement just the two of you and the necessary people I can be a witness. Lucky for you the most popular place to get a marriage license is in Jackson Hole, make sure to fill out this questionnaire, bring your photo ID and $30 cash or $31.50 via card. Not too bad, right?
Throughout the planning process, I want you to remember one thing, this is your Jackson Hole elopement. Not anyone else’s. It’s about the two of you and your commitment to one another. So, invest in what is important to you both! Whether that’s a delicious meal after, flowers, or your dream photographer. These things only happen once in a lifetime and your relationship deserves to be celebrated and remembered forever.
This is where I come in, use me as a resource! As I mentioned previously, I’ve been a photographer here for years and have immense knowledge that can be a valuable tool to you. If you are unsure of locations, vendors, or even just good places to eat, reach out to me. I can help you find the perfect locations for your elopement (with or without a permit), the best hotels, and even help with travel. I’m here to help make this process as easy as possible.
As I’ve mentioned previously, photographer is one thing that I suggest you splurge on. After you say, “I do” and go back to reality, what do you get to take with you from that day? A partner, and memories? With a Jackson Hole photographer that truly understands the importance of your memories and what matters most, you’ll get breathtaking photos to look back on for years to come. As your Jackson Hole elopement photographer, I understand the magnitude of these precious moments, and am so honored to be the one responsible for capturing them on film. You deserve this! Don’t let anyone tell you any different.
